Our ingredients in detail

Calories, proteins and fiber:

Almond flour forms the basis of the StrongBar and impresses not only with its taste, but also with its nutritional properties. With a high protein content, almond flour is an ideal building block for a balanced diet. The fiber in almond flour helps promote digestion, supporting a healthy digestive system.

Sugar substitutes

Sucralose as a sweetener, which is 600 times sweeter than sugar, brings sweetness without additional industrial sugar. The organism's ability to easily excrete sucralose makes it a safe option and is therefore found in many protein powders but also in sugar-free soft drinks such as Cola Zero or Red Bull Zero.

The sweeteners in milk chocolate, particularly maltitol, allow for the same sweet taste as sugar, but with the benefit of a reduced amount of sugar. Maltitol also gives the chocolate in the StrongBar the desired consistency and is also used, for example, in the production of chewing gum, ice cream or even brown bread.

Fats and vitamins:

The addition of cocoa butter not only provides a velvety texture, but also important vitamins such as K, E and potassium. Although the ratio of saturated to unsaturated fatty acids is 60/40, research shows that it is safe to consume. These fatty acids play a crucial role in metabolism and overall health.

Lecithins, as emulsifiers, not only offer a more stable consistency of the bar, but are also important for the human body. They support the enrichment of nerve cells, the interaction between nerves and the organism, and cell metabolism. In addition, they help break down cholesterol in the blood.

Protein sources

The variety of protein sources in the bars, including milk protein, soy protein crisps, whey protein concentrate and beef collagen peptides, make them an excellent choice for athletes and anyone looking to meet their protein needs. The mixture of different proteins ensures an optimal amino acid composition.

Negative myth of bovine collagen: Collagen, which makes up around 30% of body mass, acts as a structure-forming protein that particularly supports the passive musculoskeletal system. In addition to this central function, it contributes to the elasticity of the skin and connective tissue, with these aspects being considered secondary benefits. In a broader context, the primary role of collagen is to support bones, tendons, ligaments and other vital structures.

The results of studies indicate that externally supplied collagen arrives in fragmented form at the passive structures and undergoes transformation there. Contrary to the belief that ingested collagen is incorporated directly into the structures, research shows that reconstruction occurs.

Despite the effectiveness not yet being fully clarified, the additional intake of collagen supports the passive musculoskeletal system, although the exact extent of this benefit continues to be the subject of scientific research. Peanut and soy protein crisps in the bars not only contribute to a pleasant bite, but also provide healthy fats and high-quality proteins.

Carbohydrates and glucose syrup:

Tapioca flour and modified starch serve as binding agents and ensure stability in the bar. Tapioca flour contains a lot of calories and carbohydrates and is a good gluten-free alternative. Glucose syrup, as a simple carbohydrate of natural origin, provides additional energy.

Health-promoting ingredients:

Chicory root fiber not only contributes to fiber intake, but also provides a wealth of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, vitamin B6, folates, phosphorus and potassium. The prebiotic properties of inulin support intestinal health.

Additional ingredients and their effects:

Sunflower oil and sunflower oil powder provide important vitamins and minerals, including sodium, potassium, vitamin E, ß-carotene. Proper dosage of no more than 30g per day ensures the health benefits are reaped without excessive calorie intake.

The use of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose as a filler demonstrates the desire to not only optimize taste and consistency, but also to regulate volume, color and freshness.

Conclusion:

The StrongBar not only offers a real alternative to eating a lot, but also a balanced combination of high-quality ingredients. From proteins to healthy fats to fiber and important vitamins and minerals - nothing stands in the way of gaining weight!
